The course is designed for physicians, trainees, and health professionals with an interest or clinical practice in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. This course will serve as an update on the latest diagnostic and therapeutic issues in GI and Hepatology.
20th Annual GI and Liver Course - March 2021
The 20th Annual GI and Liver Course will be held at the MD Anderson Mitchell Basic Science Research Building, Onstead Auditorium, for those wishing to learn more about the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases and conditions, including emerging medical therapies. GI Research Conference 2020 - 2021
The GI Research Conference will start Sept. 20, 2020 and will recur on the third Thursday of the month from 5-6 p.m. in Conference Room A at the McNair Campus. Browse the full schedule.
GUT Journal Club 2020-2021
The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Journal Club occurs on the third Thursday of every month from 6-7:30 p.m. at McNair, Conference Room A. Browse the full schedule. It will also include the fellow and faculty who are presenting one article for 25 minutes each.
2019-2020 Events and Conferences
Colon Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk
On Saturday Nov. 16, 2019, Baylor College of Medicine. Get Your Rear in Gear - Houston helped raise awareness about colorectal cancer. Survivors, caregivers, family, friends, and the medical community came together for this Colon Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk to educate the community about this largely preventable cancer. Events included a timed 5K run, 5K walk and a kids’ fun run. Baylor College of Medicine's Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology hosts a table where Dr. Suneal Agarwal spoke to the importance of screening colonoscopies.
